Project Overview

SPC performed indoor air quality survey on all floors of the hospital to measure the levels of selected air quality parameters commonly associated with exhaust from fossil fuels and asphalt fumes. It was conducted over several days in response to concerns about air quality due to work being performed on the roof which is in close proximity to the intakes for the HVAC systems. The survey included real-time monitoring of Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxides, Sulfur Dioxide, Volatile Organic Compounds, and airborne particulates. Inspection of the HVAC units was conducted to check for any abnormal conditions. Results of the studies were forwarded to the OSHA compliance officer to conclude their investigation after hospital staff and patients filed a complaint about indoor air quality.
