In this position you would have the opportunity to work in our Environmental division where we provide a full range of environmental due diligence services for our clients, which include local and state government agencies, land developers, and lending institutions. Our scientists and engineers have performed environmental due diligence assessments at a variety of sites ranging from undeveloped properties to complex industrial facilities. Our valuable advantage to our clients combines the strengths of our in-house engineering and design capabilities with our construction and remediation expertise. We work closely with site management personnel, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and regulators to efficiently and effectively implement necessary environmental management measures allowing timely and informed financial decision-making associated with the scope and cost of managing site residuals, impacted media, and environmental consequences due to construction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily and meet the requirements below.

  • Performing and/or leading environmental site investigations, engineering analysis, calculations and recommendations, design and development of plans and     specifications, Illinois SRP closures, groundwater monitoring, SPCC plans and inspections, UST closures, environmental compliance, and environmental     permitting
  • Monitor quality standards and practices
  • Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines
  • Networking with clients to identify and define projects, develop proposals, and maintain quality and risk management processes to keep projects on track
  • Ensuring delivery requirements are met according to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Geology, or related technical field
  • 8 to 12 years related work experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE)(preferred) or Geologist license (or ability to obtain)
  • Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated verbal communication and technical presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with the ability/desire to lead tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to occasionally work more than 8 hours per day when necessary for project success
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information on State and Federal technical guidance and regulations
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)
