This is a hands-on position with 90% of time spent in the field, where you will be conducting field inspections for hazardous materials and provide oversight during remediation activities. 3. Collect bulk samples of suspected asbestos containing materials, lead based paint coatings,other dust, gases, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for laboratory analysis.
4. Collect air samples of asbestos, lead, mold spores, nuisance dust, and other air contaminants as per the OSHA and NIOSH sampling methods.
5. Collect clearance lead dust wipes per HUD and IDPH protocols.
6. Conduct visual inspection, document observations, quantify suspect materials.
7. Conduct non-destructive LBP survey using XRF equipment.
8. Calibrate and use IH equipment in indoor and outdoor locations.
9. Prepare inspection/remediation reports for asbestos and lead projects. Develop picturelog of sampled materials, Prepare drawings of sampling locations.
