Project Overview

Specialty Consulting was contracted by Aqua Illinois (Aqua) to conduct an independent inspection of potential sources of lead exposure at homes within Aqua’s service area that are subject to “Do Not Consume Advisory.” The focused home lead evaluation consisted of visual inspection, field-screening using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology, and laboratory analysis of water, dust, and soil for lead. SPC performed the lead evaluation at 28 residential homes. The evaluation is intended to offer a homeowner with a rapid assessment of potential lead exposures in the home.
