Project improvement included removal of existing dehumidification units and recirculating fans serving the filter pipe galleries’. Six new dehumidification units will serve the filter galleries. As part of the project, natural gas service to the filter building to be extended to new dehumidification units. The purpose of the environmental surveys was to investigate the presence of asbestos containing materials (ACM) and Lead-based Paint (LBP) material/areas that may be disturbed during planned renovation activities.
